Help & Useful Information
How do I find which Window Type I have?
VELUX Type Signs (Data plate) explained
Every VELUX roof window carries a unique Type Sign that details the type and size of the window. In most cases the Type Sign is located at the top right-hand of the sash, behind the control bar.
Type Signs differ in appearance depending on the model of your VELUX window. Please identify and select the version of Type Sign on your window from the illustrations below:
Step 1 - Locating the type sign.
In most cases the Type Sign is located at the top right-hand of the sash, behind the control bar.
Step 2 - Finding the codes.
Depending on the year your window was produced you'll find one of the type signs listed below.
Blind Control Type
Solar powered with remote control
Solar powered blinds are perfect for manual and solar INTEGRA® roof windows that are out of reach. The blind comes with a wall switch operated by a standard battery that is recharged by solar power which is good for up to 600 operations even if there is no sun for recharging. The blind is easy to install as no wiring is needed. Manual operation is also possible.
Electrically operated
Electrically operated blinds are recommended for VELUX INTEGRA® electrically operated roof windows. The blind is operated via a remote control or wall switch that makes it an ideal solution for blinds that are out of reach. Control your blind from anywhere in your room for that extra level of comfort.
For installation on non-electric windows you will require a KUX 110 and wiring kit ZOZ 244 (pre 2014) ZOZ 241 (2014 onwards). Wiring kit also required for windows that have had an electric conversion kit added.
